Providence-WSU Internal Medicine Center

Our Approach

The Providence - WSU Internal Medicine Center is a partnership between Providence Regional Medical Center Everett, Providence Medical Group and Washington State University Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine.

A collaborative effort with community providers and organizations, our clinic is part of the WSU Internal Medicine Residency Program – Everett, which has a mission to recruit, develop and retain compassionate, well-rounded internists to care for the rural and underserved populations of Washington state. The academic environment of the clinic ensures care that is based on the most current medical teachings.

About our care

Residents are newly-graduated medical doctors, who must complete at least three additional years of graduate medical education in an accredited intensive physician training program before they can apply for their board certification within a specialty.

As a patient, you will receive excellent care from a medical resident, who will serve as your primary care doctor; a faculty provider will oversee your care.

Our Services

Internal medicine specialists offer primary care to patients ages 18 and up, including:

• Preventative services
• Treatment for simple and complex medical diagnoses
• Medication management
• Weight loss and diabetes management
• Treatment for high blood pressure, heart problems and any other disease processes

We manage a broad spectrum of chronic illnesses and make referrals to all specialties, when needed.

We offer in-person visits in clinic, or telehealth from your home.

We will soon offer home visits for patients who require that level of care. Also, a variety of specialists will visit our clinic, including psychiatrists, who will see patients in our clinic once weekly, as well as social workers and pharmacists embedded within our team.

Our goal is to keep our patients healthy and a focus on quality of life. We will educate and empower our patients to take an active role in their health care management, and will connect them with community resources, when available.
